The Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, led a delegation on a business visit to the International Accreditation Agency (ASIIN) in Germany. ASIIN is one of the world’s most prestigious agencies responsible for accrediting bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in engineering, information and computer sciences, natural sciences, and related disciplines.
The delegation also included Subhan Namazov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, and Bakhtiyar Badalov, Head of the Research and Development Department.
During the meeting, Rector Valiyev highlighted AzTU’s successful cooperation with ASIIN and shared insights on strengthening bilateral relations with German universities as well as enhancing the quality of educational programs. Discussions focused on AzTU’s interest in the accreditation of several academic programs, and an agreement was reached to explore the accreditation of certification programs in the future.
As a result of the negotiations, both parties agreed to initiate the accreditation process for around 20 AzTU programs. An official memorandum of understanding was signed to formalize this collaboration.
