According to the results of the international UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has improved its position to 835th place, up from 1014th place in 2024.
While AzTU’s total score was 4,645 in 2024, it increased to 5,798 points in 2025. Significant progress was recorded across the evaluation indicators, including Setting & Infrastructure, Energy & Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, and Education & Research.
These achievements are a logical outcome of the institutional reforms implemented at the university in recent years, governance based on sustainable development principles, efforts to enhance environmental responsibility, and the strengthening of education and research activities.
It should be noted that AzTU continues to systematically implement measures aimed at expanding activities in line with international standards, applying the “green university” concept, and further strengthening its position in global rankings.
