AzTU Staff and Students Visit Ankara

Representatives of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), including Hajar Aliyeva, Program Manager for Doctoral Studies at the Institute of Higher Education, Sharafkhanim Aliyeva, Program Manager for Second Higher Education, as well as second-year master’s students Nazkhanim Shafiyeva, Nihat Ibrahimov, Rial Hummatov, and Huseyn Huseynzade, visited Turkiye within the framework of an exchange program to Gazi University and the Additive Manufacturing Center of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).

During the visit to Gazi University, a comprehensive doctoral preparation workshop was organized with the aim of developing the scientific mindset of master’s students, enhancing their analytical thinking skills, and equipping them with modern research methodologies. The workshop focused on systematically strengthening research competencies and ensuring the initial academic preparation required for transition to the doctoral level.

In addition, at the TAI Additive Manufacturing Center, participants received detailed information on the principles of Selective Laser Melting (SLM) and Electron Beam Melting (EBM) processes, as well as CNC/EDM parameters.

Within the framework of the visit, seminars were held featuring presentations by Can Baris, a researcher at the TAI Additive Manufacturing Center, on “Optimization of Structural Properties of Parts Produced by the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) Process Using Machine Learning”; by Abdullah Ozcelik on “SLM Control and Parameters”; and by Anil Emiralioglu on “Metal Powder Characteristics and Standards.”
