AzTU’s “ZAFER” Team Wins the “TUSAS Lift Up 2025 Industry-Oriented Graduation Project – Graduate Projects” Competition

The “ZAFER” team of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), led by Associate Professor Sarvan Aziz of the Department of Manufacturing Technology and PhD in National Security and Military Sciences, won the “TUSAS Lift Up 2025 Industry-Oriented Graduation Project – Graduate Projects” competition organized by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The team, consisting of five AzTU students, will carry out a project titled “Optimization of the Meshing Parameters of Bevel Gears”. The project will be implemented with support from TUSAS, with Bahadir Kartal serving as the industrial advisor.

The team captain is Rufat Dadashzadeh, a fourth-year student in the Device Engineering program at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy, and the team members are Aysel Muradova, Nasib Abdullayev, Fatime Mahmudova, and Nermin Karimli.

It is noteworthy that AzTU student teams have been participating in this competition since the 2023/2024 academic year, and the university’s collaboration with TUSAS began in 2022. The TUSAS Lift Up Industry-Oriented Graduation Project – Graduate Projects competition allows undergraduate engineering students at AzTU to participate in team-based projects.

The coordination of the project is managed by AzTU’s Lifelong Learning School.
