AzTU Team Leads the Shift from Wi-Fi to Li-Fi Innovation
In a remarkable display of innovation and technical expertise, a team of young researchers from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has developed a cutting-edge Li-Fi system. This wireless communication technology uses light waves instead of radio frequencies to transmit data. The project was carried out under the leadership of Professor Mehman Hasanov, head of the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications. Guided by his expertise and mentorship, students from the department have demonstrated a new milestone in the university’s commitment to advancing scientific research and technological innovation. Unlike traditional Wi-Fi, which relies on crowded radio frequency spectrums, Li-Fi uses visible light from LEDs to deliver ultra-fast data transmission. This makes it more secure, as light signals cannot penetrate walls, and more energy-efficient, as it leverages existing lighting infrastructure.
Training on Plastic Pollution Awareness and Bioplastic Production Held as Part of Sustainability Workshops
Training on Plastic Pollution Awareness and Bioplastic Production Held as Part of Sustainability Workshops As part of the Sustainability Workshops conducted in Malatya, Turkiye, training sessions dedicated to environmental protection were successfully implemented for secondary school students. The project included awareness-raising activities on plastic pollution, along with hands-on workshops focused on the production of starch-based bioplastics. Aimed at increasing environmental consciousness and fostering ecological responsibility among students, these training sessions were carried out within the framework of an international partnership between the Malatya Regional Directorate of Education, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and the Bright Futures Public Union. Azerbaijan Technical University provided scientific and methodological support for the project and actively participated in the development of educational modules and the content of the bioplastics training. AzTU’s involvement in this initiative once again demonstrated the university’s strong commitment to international cooperation in the fields of sustainable development, innovation, and social responsibility.
