A delegation led by Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University of Türkiye, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests held discussions with AzTU Rector Vilayət Vəliyev and university representatives. During the meeting, the parties discussed enhancing the quality of education and conducting joint research in various fields. Following the discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two universities.   RELATED GOALS    

A delegation from the Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology visited AzTU A delegation led by Khamis Seyranov, Director General of the Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology (AzMI) under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests met with AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and university representatives to discuss potential areas of cooperation. During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on establishing collaboration in relevant fields. They discussed enabling AzTU students to conduct scientific research using AzMI laboratories, implementing dual supervision at the master’s level, developing new projects in the field of metrology, and expanding institutional cooperation. Additionally, ideas were exchanged regarding internship opportunities for students in relevant specializations at AzMI to enhance their practical knowledge.   RELATED GOALS    

A meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI), operating under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, with Associate Professor Gültekin Coşkun, head of the National Ground Safety Institute (UZGE) located in the technopark of Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Turkey. The meeting was attended by Vilayət Vəliyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Mehmet Şimşir, Vice-Rector of Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU), as well as representatives of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND). During the meeting, information was presented about AzMI’s areas of activity, service sectors, measurement and calibration capabilities, existing calibration and verification laboratories, and newly established reference laboratories. A cooperation memorandum has been signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU), and Turkey’s National Ground Safety Institute (UZGE). Within the scope of cooperation, joint activities are planned in the fields of scientific research, technology transfer, metrology, standardization, and the establishment of testing laboratories. According to the memorandum, the parties will collaborate on the implementation of joint scientific projects, publication of articles in international scientific journals, and the application of innovative solutions in industry. Additionally, UZGE experts will conduct trainings for AzTU and TAU students, and practical training opportunities will be provided in laboratories. To support startup development and strengthen the innovation ecosystem, the parties will cooperate through Technology Transfer Offices.   RELATED GOALS    

A webinar titled “Innovations and Modern Trends in Foreign Language Teaching Methodology” was organized by the Department of Foreign Languages at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the training sessions held within the framework of the webinar, the head of the department, Professor Səbinə Alməmmədova, and lecturers Rəşid Sultanov, Aydan Rəhimova, and Aygül Xəlilova provided insights into various aspects of foreign language teaching in the modern era.   RELATED GOALS 

The head of UZGE – National Ground Safety Institute, operating at the technopark of Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Turkey, Associate Professor Gültəkin Coşqun, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the visit, she met with AzTU Rector Vilayət Vəliyev. Representatives from the Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and AzTU also participated in the meeting. Gültəkin Coşqun provided information about the institute’s activities, stating that the organization offers high-quality testing and certification services in the fields of metrology and ground safety. Additionally, the institute conducts research on the friction coefficients of surfaces for helicopter landing pads and various types of flooring materials. She noted that collaboration with AzTU and TAU in these areas is a priority for the institute. Rector Vilayət Vəliyev emphasized the importance of joint activities between AzTU, TAU, and the institute, noting that implementing a pilot project at the initial stage would be appropriate.   RELATED GOALS   

On February 2, the “GenZ FEST” festival was held at Bazaar Square located in White City in celebration of Azerbaijan Youth Day. Supported by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ATGTİ), the festival gathered more than 5,000 students. The event was attended by Ruslan Gənbərov, the chairman of the Student Youth Organization (TGT) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), along with members of the organization. During the festival, the names of the Student Youth Organizations awarded the “Student Youth Organization of the Year” nomination were announced. It was noted that due to its active participation and contributions to the country’s socio-public life throughout the year, AzTU’s TGT was honored with the title of “Student Youth Organization of the Year.”   RELATED GOALS     

A event dedicated to February 2 — Azerbaijan Youth Day was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), organized by the AzTU Trade Union Committee (TUC) and the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC). First, the memory of the homeland’s sons who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty was honored with a moment of silence, followed by the playing of the National Anthem. Elvin Bəkhtiyarlı, Chair of the AzTU TUC, shared his congratulations on the occasion of Youth Day. He spoke about the youth policy in the country and the care and attention given to young people. “Synergia Academy” and “Facility Management Group” (FMG) companies, together with Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, presented a new program supporting the career development of young people. The program aims to support the professional activities of Azerbaijani youth aged 18-30 with higher education and to provide them with employment opportunities at various business and commercial facilities under FMG.
