AzTU and TAU to Cooperate with Turkey’s UZGE – National Ground Safety Institute
The head of UZGE – National Ground Safety Institute, operating at the technopark of Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Turkey, Associate Professor Gültəkin Coşqun, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the visit, she met with AzTU Rector Vilayət Vəliyev. Representatives from the Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and AzTU also participated in the meeting. Gültəkin Coşqun provided information about the institute’s activities, stating that the organization offers high-quality testing and certification services in the fields of metrology and ground safety. Additionally, the institute conducts research on the friction coefficients of surfaces for helicopter landing pads and various types of flooring materials. She noted that collaboration with AzTU and TAU in these areas is a priority for the institute. Rector Vilayət Vəliyev emphasized the importance of joint activities between AzTU, TAU, and the institute, noting that implementing a pilot project at the initial stage would be appropriate. AzTU Student Youth Organization Named “Student Youth Organization of the Year”
On February 2, the “GenZ FEST” festival was held at Bazaar Square located in White City in celebration of Azerbaijan Youth Day. Supported by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ATGTİ), the festival gathered more than 5,000 students. The event was attended by Ruslan Gənbərov, the chairman of the Student Youth Organization (TGT) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), along with members of the organization. During the festival, the names of the Student Youth Organizations awarded the “Student Youth Organization of the Year” nomination were announced. Results of the Competition Held on the Occasion of Youth Day at AzTU Announced
A event dedicated to February 2 — Azerbaijan Youth Day was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), organized by the AzTU Trade Union Committee (TUC) and the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC). “From Education to Career” Project Presentation Held
“Synergia Academy” and “Facility Management Group” (FMG) companies, together with Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, presented a new program supporting the career development of young people. The program aims to support the professional activities of Azerbaijani youth aged 18-30 with higher education and to provide them with employment opportunities at various business and commercial facilities under FMG. Twelve students from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) will study abroad during the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year under the “Erasmus+ KA171” exchange program. Meeting Held Between AzTU and “EPC Engineering & Technologies” Company
The Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held a meeting with Germany’s “EPC Engineering & Technologies” company to discuss collaboration opportunities in filament technology. During the meeting, both parties engaged in extensive discussions on innovation, production capabilities, and potential partnership directions. Online Trainings on Research Skills Development Held Within the DIRNA Project
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 project titled “Developing Research Potential through Institutional Repository Network in Azerbaijan” (DIRNA), in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, a series of online training sessions were organized. A “Pedagogical Mastery” week was held at the Department of Cybersecurity to enhance the teaching knowledge and skills of the faculty members. The purpose of the event was to improve the quality of education by encouraging department instructors to engage in discussions and training sessions with their colleagues on various aspects of pedagogical mastery. During the training sessions, topics such as the application of innovative teaching methods, integration of digital technologies into the teaching process, new practical training methodologies and pedagogical technologies, assessment and monitoring of learning outcomes, conflict resolution in pedagogy, psychological foundations of teaching, teacher models, mastery in managing the emotional state of teachers, and ways to enhance the pedagogical professionalism of young educators were discussed using effective methods, real pedagogical scenarios, and best practices. Founding Meeting of AzTU Alumni Association Held
The founding meeting of the Alumni Association was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), organized by the university’s Career and Employment Center.
