Closing Ceremony of the Azerbaijan Student League 2024/2025 Season Held
On May 21, the 2024/2025 season of the Azerbaijan Student League in futsal among students of higher education institutions concluded. The event was attended by Firudin Qurbanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education and President of the Azerbaijan Student Football Federation Public Union; Chingiz Huseynzade, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee; Araz Pashayev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Education Workers’ Free Trade Union Republican Committee; officials from the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association and the Azerbaijan Student Football Federation Public Union; and veteran football players. AzTU Rector-Led Delegation Visits Leading Universities in Indonesia
A delegation led by the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Professor Vilayət Vəliyev, traveled to Indonesia. The delegation included AzTU’s Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Professor Sübhan Namazov, and the Director of the Research and Development Department, Bəxtiyar Bədəlov. The main goal of the trip was to establish and expand cooperation between AzTU and leading Indonesian higher education institutions in scientific research, education, and innovation, as well as to sign memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in these areas. During the visit, the delegation toured the University of Indonesia, Jakarta State University, Atma Jaya Catholic University, and BINUS University. AzTU Student Participated in an International Event in Italy
Ramazan Quliyev, a student of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), participated in the “General Assembly” event organized by ESTIEM in the city of Cosenza, Italy. At the event, important topics related to the general management structure of ESTIEM were discussed, new local groups joining the ESTIEM family were announced, and changes in the leadership team were revealed. Reports on activities over the past six months, as well as on the “Council Meeting (CM),” were presented to the participants. Additionally, the country that will host the CM event next year was decided by vote. The event provided broad opportunities to meet ESTIEM members from various countries, exchange experiences, and network. This event was an important experience for AzTU student Ramazan Quliyev to represent in the international student network, directly participate in organizational decision-making, and closely study ESTIEM’s operational mechanisms. AzTU Staff Participated in the “II Turkic World International Engineering Summit” in Kazakhstan
From May 13 to 16, in the city of Turkistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan Technical University’s (AzTU) Trade Union Committee Chair Elvin Bəkhtiyarlı, Professor Mehman Həsənov (Head of the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications), Professor Yadigar İmamverdiyev (Head of the Department of Cybersecurity), and Associate Professor Atif Namazov (Head of the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence) participated in the “II Turkic World International Engineering Summit.” The event was organized by the “Turk Engineers Association” and held at the invitation of the Azerbaijan Education Workers’ Free Trade Union Republican Committee. Delegation from Chinese International Organization Visits AzTU
A delegation led by Xu Ming, Deputy Director of the Cooperation Department of the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) — headquartered in Beijing, China — visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests met with Professor Subhan Namazov, AzTU’s Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, and other university representatives. Welcoming the delegation, Professor Namazov shared information about AzTU and highlighted the growing collaboration between China and Azerbaijan in education and research, along with other fields. AzTU Professor Speaks at International Scientific Conference in Uzbekistan
Professor Vaqif Hasanov, Head of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy Technologies at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), participated in an international scientific-practical conference held in Uzbekistan. The conference was jointly organized by Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction and Tashkent State Technical University named after I. Karimov. At the event, Professor Hasanov delivered a presentation on “Innovative Technologies in Architecture, Engineering, Education, and Environmental Protection”, which sparked engaging discussions among the participants. During the visit, Professor Hasanov toured relevant departments and research laboratories of both universities. Conference Organized by AzTU Held in Türkiye
The 2nd International Conference on Economic and Administrative Research was held in Türkiye, co-organized by Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The conference was arranged through the collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and AzTU’s Department of Economics and Statistics. It featured discussions on various fields of economics and administrative sciences. Presentations covered topics such as banking and finance, labor economics and industrial relations, econometrics, economics, statistics, business administration, public administration, finance, and international economic relations. Event Dedicated to International Museum Day Held at AzTU
An event titled “Museums Are Our History”, dedicated to May 18 – International Museum Day, was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) in collaboration with the House Museum of Jafar Jabbarli. As part of the event, a mobile exhibition from the museum was also organized. The event was attended by AzTU’s faculty and students, as well as museum and library professionals. The exhibition, prepared by the House Museum of Jafar Jabbarli, featured materials and archival photos reflecting different periods of the great playwright’s literary life and work. It also showcased his previously undisclosed literary works (e.g., “Conquest of Edirne”, “Tripoli War”), political activities (1923–1927), and writings created during his imprisonment. Speakers at the event included the museum director and Jabbarli’s granddaughter, Qamar Seyfaddin gizi, who spoke about Jabbarli’s contributions to Azerbaijani literature, culture, and his role in the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918–1920). Within the framework of International Coaching Week organized by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) under the slogan “Inspire, Transform, Flourish”, a large-scale event was held for the first time in Azerbaijan. These annual events aim to showcase the positive impact of coaching on individuals, organizations, and communities across the globe. The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and brought together officials, members of parliament, university leaders, and top coaching professionals. AzTU Professor Conducts Training at Azerbaijan Metrology Institute
Professor Vagif Hasanov, Head of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy Technologies at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), conducted a training session for employees of the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI). The training, titled “Publishing Articles in the Scopus Database”, provided detailed information on how to publish scientific papers in international databases, especially in Scopus-indexed journals. The session covered publication processes, journal requirements, and effective strategies for successful submissions. Participants were informed about how to prepare scientific research papers, structure and write manuscripts, format and submit them, and select appropriate journals.
