Representatives from various companies within the Communication Technologies Cluster operating under Türkiye’s OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone visited the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The delegation met with AzTU’s rector Vilayət Vəliyev and university representatives.During the meeting, Rector Vəliyev highlighted AzTU’s ongoing collaboration with Turkish universities and companies, emphasizing the importance of applying Türkiye’s experience in university-industry cooperation at AzTU.Durali Çiçek, coordinator of the Communication Technologies Cluster and head of the delegation, along with other company representatives, introduced their organizations and stressed the importance of cooperation between industry and academia in areas such as electronics, automation, telecommunications, programming, and cybersecurity. Çiçek noted that AzTU’s faculty and students could be involved in research and internships within the cluster’s companies.The meeting concluded with discussions on potential areas of collaboration. At the first plenary session of the forum, titled “Artificial Intelligence and Ethics: Issues of Integrity and Privacy in Education”, the Director of the Institute of Information Technologies and Methodological Support in Education at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Etibar Seyidzade, delivered a speech. He spoke about topics such as artificial intelligence and academic integrity, data privacy, the application of AI in education, and fairness in the educational system, commenting on both the beneficial and harmful aspects of using AI in education. A Memorandum Signed Between AzTU and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University
A delegation led by Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University of Türkiye, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Discussions Held at the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute on the Application of European and Turkish Standards
A meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI), operating under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, with Associate Professor Gültekin Coşkun, head of the National Ground Safety Institute (UZGE) located in the technopark of Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Turkey. The meeting was attended by Vilayət Vəliyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Mehmet Şimşir, Vice-Rector of Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU), as well as representatives of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND). During the meeting, information was presented about AzMI’s areas of activity, service sectors, measurement and calibration capabilities, existing calibration and verification laboratories, and newly established reference laboratories. A Cooperation Memorandum Signed Between AzTU, TAU, and UZGE
A cooperation memorandum has been signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU), and Turkey’s National Ground Safety Institute (UZGE). Within the scope of cooperation, joint activities are planned in the fields of scientific research, technology transfer, metrology, standardization, and the establishment of testing laboratories. According to the memorandum, the parties will collaborate on the implementation of joint scientific projects, publication of articles in international scientific journals, and the application of innovative solutions in industry. Additionally, UZGE experts will conduct trainings for AzTU and TAU students, and practical training opportunities will be provided in laboratories. To support startup development and strengthen the innovation ecosystem, the parties will cooperate through Technology Transfer Offices. RELATED GOALS

AzTU and TAU to Cooperate with Turkey’s UZGE – National Ground Safety Institute
The head of UZGE – National Ground Safety Institute, operating at the technopark of Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Turkey, Associate Professor Gültəkin Coşqun, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the visit, she met with AzTU Rector Vilayət Vəliyev. Representatives from the Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and AzTU also participated in the meeting. Gültəkin Coşqun provided information about the institute’s activities, stating that the organization offers high-quality testing and certification services in the fields of metrology and ground safety. Additionally, the institute conducts research on the friction coefficients of surfaces for helicopter landing pads and various types of flooring materials. She noted that collaboration with AzTU and TAU in these areas is a priority for the institute. Rector Vilayət Vəliyev emphasized the importance of joint activities between AzTU, TAU, and the institute, noting that implementing a pilot project at the initial stage would be appropriate. AzTU Student Youth Organization Named “Student Youth Organization of the Year”
On February 2, the “GenZ FEST” festival was held at Bazaar Square located in White City in celebration of Azerbaijan Youth Day. Supported by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ATGTİ), the festival gathered more than 5,000 students. The event was attended by Ruslan Gənbərov, the chairman of the Student Youth Organization (TGT) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), along with members of the organization. During the festival, the names of the Student Youth Organizations awarded the “Student Youth Organization of the Year” nomination were announced. It was noted that due to its active participation and contributions to the country’s socio-public life throughout the year, AzTU’s TGT was honored with the title of “Student Youth Organization of the Year.” RELATED GOALS
