A delegation led by Mehmet Toycan, Rector of Cyprus Bahçeşehir University (KBU) of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, visited the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) during their trip to Azerbaijan. The guests held a meeting with Rector Vilayat Valiyev and representatives of AzTU.
Welcoming the delegation, Rector Vilayat Valiyev expressed his pleasure at hosting them at AzTU. He provided detailed information about the university’s ongoing initiatives, academic programs, implemented projects, international collaborations, as well as AzTU’s future goals in science and research.
Rector Mehmet Toycan, in turn, presented an overview of his institution, emphasizing that higher education institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are eager to establish cooperation with Azerbaijani universities in the fields of education and research.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for student and faculty exchange, joint scientific research, and the development of dual-degree programs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was officially signed between the two universities.
