Ecological Thinking Begins at School – Another Group of Students Joined the Green Mission at AzTU

A new wave of support for the initiative on recycling plastic waste and producing filament for 3D printers, carried out by the MGP Group under the Lifelong Learning School of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), came from 8th-grade students of Səttar Bəhlulzadə Foreign Language Gymnasium.

During their visit, the students brought the collected plastic bottles to AzTU and handed them over to the MGP Workshop. The students were accompanied by their class teacher Ləman Babayeva and biology and STEAM teacher Ofeliya Həzərxanova.

During the meeting, the students observed firsthand the process of sorting plastic waste, recycling, and converting it into filament for 3D printers. MGP engineers provided detailed information about the modern technologies, software, and production stages used in this field and answered many questions from the students.

The students were also introduced to drone (UAV) technologies and shown engineering projects in this area, including aerodynamic design principles and control systems.

This initiative helps increase students’ interest in engineering and technology and promotes the development of conscious attitudes toward environmental protection. The involvement of Səttar Bəhlulzadə Foreign Language Gymnasium in the project is a significant step for fostering ecological awareness and technological skills in the younger generation from an early age.

As a result of these projects, students realize that protecting the environment is not only a duty but also a creative process that combines innovation and technology.

Recycling plastic waste is not just a technical process but also a crucial step in shaping a new perspective in young people’s minds toward becoming responsible and future-oriented citizens.
