Event on “Green Energy and Environmental Innovations” Held at AzTU

An awareness-raising and practice-oriented event titled “Green Energy and Environmental Innovations” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), jointly organized by the Career and Employment Center and the Ecology and Chemistry Club.

The main objective of the event was to create a platform for interaction between students and organizations operating in the rapidly developing fields of green energy, environmental innovations, sustainable production, and environmental technologies in Azerbaijan. The event aimed to discuss current trends, facilitate experience sharing, and explore future cooperation opportunities.

The program included company presentations, panel and dialogue-based discussions, a networking session, as well as applied training and interactive group work. As part of the event, Sadi Amanli, electrical engineer at Baku Shipyard LLC operating under AZCON Holding, delivered a presentation on the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, the prospects of using solar panels in industrial and manufacturing sectors, and the environmental and operational advantages of filtration systems in production facilities.

The dialogue-format presentation was accompanied by discussions based on students’ questions.

The event also featured Elnur Aliyev, Deputy Head of the Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety Department at Clean City JSC, who shared real-life experiences related to practical environmental management, industrial safety, and environmental protection.

One of the most interactive parts of the program included a presentation by Aycan Nazarova, Coordinator of Bilimsenol Azerbaijan, on the topic “The Role of Youth in Solving Global Environmental Problems: Today’s Initiative, Tomorrow’s Sustainability”, followed by an applied training session with active student participation.

At the conclusion of the event, it was emphasized that such initiatives significantly contribute to strengthening university–industry cooperation, increasing awareness of green energy and environmental technologies, and developing young people’s initiative-taking and innovation potential.
