Online Trainings on Research Skills Development Held Within the DIRNA Project

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 project titled “Developing Research Potential through Institutional Repository Network in Azerbaijan” (DIRNA), in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, a series of online training sessions were organized.

The trainings were conducted by Gültekin Gürdal, Director of the Library and Documentation Department of the project’s partner university, Izmir Institute of Technology (İYTE).

Aimed at enhancing the research skills of academic staff, the trainings focused on the topics “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Education and Research” and “Implementation Plan for Long-term Support and Management of the Repository.”

Participants included:

  • Khayala Hajiyeva – Director of AzTU Library and Information Center
  • Nubar Farhadzade – Leading Specialist of the International Projects Sector
  • Sevinc Rzayeva – Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics and Statistics

During the two-day sessions, participants received information and engaged in discussions on:

  • The role and advantages of artificial intelligence
  • Use of AI in research
  • AI tools in education
  • Implementation plans for long-term support and management of institutional repositories.
