Professor from the University of Nottingham Held a Seminar at AzTU

Professor Marco Rivera from the University of Nottingham, UK, conducted a seminar for the staff of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) on renewable energy sources in the world and in Azerbaijan, as well as opportunities for research collaboration between the University of Nottingham and AzTU.

Welcoming the guest, AzTU’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Nurali Yusifbayli, highly appreciated the initiative to hold a seminar on this topic. He emphasized the importance of learning from the experiences of leading global universities on such issues and highlighted the benefits of collaboration with them.

Following this, Marco Rivera gave a detailed overview of global and Azerbaijani energy production and consumption, as well as trends in the use of renewable energy sources. Speaking about the university he represents, Professor Rivera also delivered an extensive presentation on potential areas of cooperation between the University of Nottingham and AzTU.

At the end of the seminar, questions were addressed and answered.
