At the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), an educational meeting was held with international students within the framework of the project “Migration Rules, Healthcare Accessibility, and Country Promotion for International Students Studying in Azerbaijan.”
Orkhan Vetenxah, Head of AzTU’s International Relations Department, spoke about the innovations implemented for the new academic year and the facilities provided for international students. He emphasized the importance of meetings between State Migration Service (SMS) officials and foreign students.
Vidadi Fatullayev, Chair of the Public Union “Development of the Migration Sector,” noted that the number of international students studying in Azerbaijan has increased against the backdrop of the country’s growing international prestige and economic development. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of higher education institutions and state bodies in this area and expressed gratitude to the SMS and AzTU administration for supporting the organization of the event.
Khayala Abbasova, Deputy Head of the Legal Support Department of the SMS, provided detailed information on migration legislation, entry and exit procedures, temporary residence, and registration processes. She stressed the importance of timely and correct compliance with these procedures.
During the event, questions from students were answered by Tural Karimov, Chief Inspector of the Main Department for Migration Control; Aykhan Rzayev, Inspector of the Main Department for Migration Process Analysis and Information Support; and Ruslan Agayev, Chief Inspector of the Main Department for Migration Regulation. SMS officials provided detailed explanations regarding provisions of migration legislation relevant to international students.
