Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the leadership of mobile operator “Nar” have identified the main areas of collaboration for this year.
Recognized for its cost-effective services and sustainable social projects, “Nar” has outlined, together with its partner Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), initiatives aimed at professional workforce development. This collaboration directly supports Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, fostering university-industry cooperation and contributing to sustainable industrialization in the country.
During a meeting attended by AzTU Rector Professor Vilayet Valiyev and “Nar” CEO Ozgur Genc, the importance of their partnership of more than 10 years for students’ future careers was emphasized. Following the meeting, Ozgur Genc visited the “Nar” laboratory established at the university for students. Equipped with modern mobile communication devices, this laboratory serves as a practical example of contemporary technological infrastructure, allowing students to build local mobile networks and learn the operational principles of mobile communications firsthand. Such laboratories play a key role in promoting innovation and expanding students’ technological capabilities.
In addition to technical support, “Nar” regularly organizes training sessions to enhance AzTU students’ theoretical knowledge. These sessions provide students in technical disciplines with information on current labor market demands and prepare them for their future professional careers. As a result, this initiative not only contributes to the development of a qualified workforce and the country’s economic growth but also plays an important role in creating a competitive infrastructure. The long-term partnership between “Nar” and AzTU ensures knowledge and technology transfer, strengthening the country’s engineering potential.
