The Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) met with students and their mentors who achieved successful results at an international competition held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) met with students and their mentors who achieved successful results at an international competition held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev met with students and their mentors who represented the university at the “CAU Tech Hackathon 2026” international competition held at Central Asian University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Rector thanked the students for representing Azerbaijan and AzTU with distinction among 120 competing teams and wished them continued success in future competitions.

It should be noted that AzTU teams participated in two tracks of the international competition: “AI in Healthcare Hackathon 2026” and “International Cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) 2026”.

The AzTU team participating in the “International Cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) 2026” track achieved 7th place.

In both tracks, AzTU teams outperformed other universities from Azerbaijan.

The AzTU teams were accompanied by the coordinator of the Incubation Center, Azad Musayev. Additionally, effective mentorship support during the preparation and competition process was provided by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Energy, Shamakhi Aliyev, as well as Murad Ahmadov for the CTF team.
