Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has announced the winning projects of its internal grant competition, organized to foster research and innovation, support priority scientific fields, and strengthen the university’s research potential.
Project proposals submitted within the competition were evaluated by independent experts in accordance with established regulations, with key criteria including scientific novelty, innovative approach, application potential, as well as expected scientific and social impact. As a result of the evaluation, projects that address modern scientific challenges and demonstrate high technological significance were selected as winners.
The winning projects cover strategically important fields such as engineering, artificial intelligence, information technology, cybersecurity, energy, environment, materials science, specialized machinery and technology, and educational technologies. The implementation of these projects will enhance the quality of research at AzTU, promote the application-oriented development of scientific results, strengthen the innovation ecosystem, and expand academic collaboration.
In line with the university’s science policy, this internal grant competition aims to systematically encourage research activities, ensure the efficient use of scientific potential, and increase competitiveness within the international scientific arena. Project implementation is scheduled to take place throughout 2026.
The total funding allocated for the winning projects of the internal grant competition amounts to 1,285,150 AZN.
