Strategic Development Department

 

In order to implement the Strategy of the Azerbaijan Technical University, the Strategic Development Center was established in 2023. Based on Order No. F159 dated September 30, 2024, following the approval of the new structure of the university, the Strategic Development Center has continued its operations as the Strategic Development Department. The Strategic Development Department is one of the main structural units responsible for the preparation of the university’s Strategic Development Plan and Action Plan, as well as overseeing their implementation. The primary goal of the department is to ensure the continuous and systematic development of the university in line with its mission, vision, and core objectives.

Main Areas of Activity:

· Identifying the key areas of activity and sectors that require development for the advancement of the university;

· Developing qualitative and quantitative indicators characterizing the main areas of activity;

· Preparing methodological, analytical, and informational support for the strategic planning process of the university’s operations;

· Analyzing data based on the monitoring of the activities of the university and its structural units, determining the level of alignment with the planned goals, expected outcomes, and overall strategy, and preparing relevant development programs;

· Ensuring the implementation of a reporting mechanism across all structural units of the university, and preparing strategic documents, reports, and forecasts based on the results of conducted analyses;

· Identifying, assessing, managing, and monitoring risks related to strategic analysis and planning;

· Evaluating the effectiveness and progress of activities carried out to achieve the university’s strategic goals, and submitting accurate and timely reports to the management to support the decision-making process.
