The Department of Motor Transport Operation and Traffic Safety was established in 1978 on the basis of the Department of Automobiles. Later, the department was named Vehicle transport and traffic organization, and since 2019, Transport logistics and traffic safety.

The main directions of the researches:

The researches are carried out in the direction of improvement of transport systems, safety, operation and logistics provision, solving the problem of optimization of logistics, car transport work efficiency, traffic intensity, driver-car, road-environment complex. The obtained results are intended to be applied in the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Main Traffic Police Department, the Absheron Logistics Center, 166 Global Logistics Companies, the Baku Transport Agency, the State Road Transport Service and several public and private enterprises.
