Metallurgy and Materials Science

Chemistry Technology, Recycling and Ecology

The Department of Chemistry Technology, Recycling and Ecology was established in 2021 based on the foundation of the Departments of Chemistry and Industrial Ecology and the Safety of Life Activities. The department collaborates with the Cologne University of Applied Sciences and the University of Rostock in Germany. Over the recent years, the department has published 6 textbooks, 21 educational materials, and 11 methodological guidelines. In 2023, the department published 22 scientific articles in WOS and SCOPUS journals.

AZTU ECO-Technology Club

Objective of the ECO-Technology Club

The main goal of establishing the ECO-Technology Club is to enhance the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of students at Azerbaijan Technical University in Ecology, Chemical Technology, and Safety of Life Activities, and to support the university's participation and success in domestic and international Energy Project competitions and festivals.

Unique Aspects of the Club

After mastering the theoretical material, students begin to practically implement their knowledge through educational projects. During this period, practical tasks are performed. The topics of the projects are independent and originate from the students' initiatives, allowing them to shift from one discipline to another as their cognitive (perception and creativity) interests evolve.

The course topics in Ecology, Chemical Technology, and Safety of Life Activities are structured considering the interests of the students and their self-expression opportunities. If necessary, additional training is organized to develop specific skills and habits, using a project system that aids in the development and refinement of individual competencies.

For Students:

•          Develop a desire to deepen knowledge;

•          Cultivate an interest in scientific and technical creativity;

•          Enhance individual talents;

•          Acquire additional general and specialized knowledge in …….;

•          Engage in individual work with talented students to aid in their personal development.

Knowledge Areas:
