Requirements for Membership in the Committee

What must a student do to become a member of the Committee? 

Joining the organization is a straightforward process. Every student of Azerbaijan Technical University who accepts the Regulation of the Committee can become a member.

Members of the organization have the following rights: 

1. To elect and be elected to the governing bodies of the Committee;

2. To actively participate in the discussion of issues related to the activities of the Committee;

3. To benefit from the protection provided by the Committee;

4. To participate in events organized by the Committee; 

Members of the organization are obligated to adhere to the provisions of the Bylaws and execute the decisions of the governing bodies. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the organization by the Board of Directors or local branches. 

What issues do students most frequently bring to the Committee? 

The organization plays an active role in the examination process and acts as a defender of students' rights, particularly concerning session results, which is the most common issue addressed to the Committee. The Committee Chair represents the interests of students in all commissions established at the university (including the Appeals Commission, etc.). The Committee often succeeds in resolving matters in favor of the students. 

Any student facing issues can directly approach the Committee's headquarters located in the main university building, or the assistants appointed for each faculty.
