About the Department of Mechatronics

In 2023, the mechatronics department was established by the Scientific Council of AzTU. This was done by merging the automation and management department with the mechatronics and robotics engineering specialty. This specialty is considered to be one of the modern engineering specialties, and it was transferred to the new department.

Bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students at the Mechatronics Department are trained in two majors. The department’s teaching staff currently includes four professors, eight associate professors, and five senior teachers.

The Department of Mechatronics aims to train professionals in process automation engineering and mechatronics and robotics engineering at the bachelor and master levels. It also offers two specializations - “Robots, Mechatronics, and Robotics Systems” and “Information-measuring and Control Systems.” The department provides doctoral-level training to produce scientific-level personnel in “Robots and Industry” and carry out research in the scientific direction of “Internet of Things.”
