In January 2021, the departments of Metallurgy and Materials technology were merged in Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) due to structural changes. Based on the basis of both departments, a new department was created: Department of Metallurgy and Materials Technology.
The purpose of the department:
To have knowledge in the field of metallurgy, materials and mining engineering and to have written and oral expression skills in foreign languages, to acquire skills with computer technologies and applications, to obtain the formation of engineering qualifications and to equip professional knowledge and skills in this field. To have the ability of analysis and synthesis inclined to group work in the indicated specializations, to prepare graduates with design and design skills and the ability to work on interdisciplinary projects.
