Sayami Sanani Huseynov was born on August 24, 1982, in Gajar, Fuzuli, Azerbaijan. In 2000-2004, he received his bachelor’s degree in Materials science and technology of advanced materials at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. In 2004-2006, he obtained his master’s degree in the same specialty. In 2006, he was admitted to the full-time postgraduate (PhD) program in Materials science. In 2010, he defended his PhD dissertation in the specialty 05.02.01 – Materials science (Powder metallurgy and composite materials) at the Dissertation Council D 02.141 operating under the Azerbaijan Technical University. In 2011, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was awarded the scientific degree of PhD in technical sciences. In 2009-2015, he worked as a researcher and senior researcher at the centralized research laboratory Physico-chemical analysis methods of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. In 2013, he was admitted to the Doctor of Sciences (DSc) program in the specialty 3312.01 – Materials technology at the Azerbaijan Technical University. In 2015-2016, within the framework of the Erasmus Mundus EMINENCE II Project, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. In 2016-2025, he worked as an associate professor at the department of Materials science and processing technologies of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. In 2016-2021, he served as the head of the research laboratory Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. In 2021, he worked as an advisor to the rector, and in 2021-2025 he served as the vice-rector for administrative and economic affairs. Since 2025, he has been serving as the head of the department of “Metallurgy and materials technology” at the Azerbaijan Technical University. He is a member of the New Azerbaijan Party. He is married and has one child. |
