By the decision of the scientific council, on February 15, 2021, the departments of Telecommunication and information security and Radio engineering were merged and renamed as Radio engineering and telecommunication.

The latest achievements of science and technology related to radio engineering, telecommunications and information security are used in the teaching process. A local computer network has been created in the department, and a Wi-Fi network has been installed in order for students to provide the Internet access during the classes. Teaching laboratories meeting the requirements of modern technologies, teaching-methodical tools of taught subjects and their electronic database have been created at the base of the department. Modern information and telecommunication techniques are used in the conduct of scientific research works.

The purpose of the department:

The purpose of the department is to prepare students for bachelor's and master's degrees, prepare specialists according to the requirements of the consumer market, prepare new laboratories for this purpose, prepare educational programs according to modern standards, organize teaching and conduct scientific research.
