Head of department Nijat Zohrabov Rasul was born in 1978 in Baku. In 1995, he graduated with distinction from Secondary School No. 89. After completing his secondary education, he was admitted to Azerbaijan Technical University, Faculty of Transport, majoring in Organization of Transportation and Management in Transport. In 1999, he graduated from the University with a Bachelor’s degree. In the same year, he continued his studies at the Master’s level and, in 2001, earned a Master’s degree in Organization of Transportation and Management in Transport. After completing his Master’s degree at Azerbaijan Technical University in 2001, N.R. Zohrabov was appointed as a laboratory assistant at the Department of Exploitation of Railway Transport. Due to his active performance at the department, he served as senior laboratory assistant from 2005 to 2006 and as head of the laboratory from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, he worked as an assistant lecturer at the department. In 2012, having successfully passed a competitive selection process, he was elected to the position of senior lecturer. In 2018, he defended his doctoral dissertation under the PhD program and was awarded the degree of doctor of philosophy in technical. In 2021, he was elected associate professor of the department of transport technics and management technologies. Since October 18, 2025, he has been serving as the Head of the Department of transport technics and management technologies. He is the author or co-author of nearly 70 scientific publications, including 1 collective monograph, 2 textbooks, 6 teaching manuals, 5 articles published abroad, and 4 conference proceedings. From 2018 to 2021, he participated in the Erasmus+ project Crisis and Risks Engineering for Transport Services (CRENG).
He is married and has two children. |
