Department of Radioelectronic and Aerospace Systems

On February 9, 2021, the Department of Radioelectronic and Aerospace Systems was established based on the decision of the Scientific Council of Azerbaijan Technical University, as per the resolution dated November 27, 2020. This decision was made to address the need for highly skilled military engineers, with a focus on the training provided within the Faculty of Special Equipment and Technology.

Recognizing the shortage of highly qualified specialists in the field of radio electronics at AzTU, the newly formed department has enlisted the expertise of professionals from both academic and military backgrounds. These individuals, currently active in teaching roles within the Ministry of Defense Industry (MSN) and military universities, as well as those who have previously served in the Ministry of Defense (MN) with relevant experience, have been integrated into the department.

The primary scientific directions of the Department of Radioelectronic and Aerospace Systems are delineated as follows:

- Military communication systems and technologies;

- Electronic warfare systems and technologies;

- Aerospace systems;

- Optoelectronic systems, devices, and instruments;

- Military systems engineering;

- Radio technical intelligence and surveillance;

- Air defense systems and equipment.
