According to the structural changes, the Information Technologies and Programming department, and Computational Mathematics departments combined and established the Department of Engineering Math and Artificial Intelligence.

The aim of the Department of Engineering Mathematics & Artificial Intelligence (AI): 

Bringing the experience of world top & prestigious universities to the Department for solving scientific & practical issues on the teaching process of Engineering Mathematics, Software Engineering & Artificial Intelligence Systems (AI) subjects;

Involving undergraduate & postgraduate & PhD. students for local & foreign grant projects coworking with Department staff;

Preparing students for scientific & practical Mathematics Olympiads / competitions / science & tech festivals in local & international level.

Scientific directions of the department:

Scientific research works in the department are mainly carried out in the following directions:

• Development of methods and algorithms for managing technical systems in conditions of limited information;

• Development of methods of ensuring security in corporate information systems and using cloud (Cloud Computing) technologies;

• Scientific-practical problems of artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence) and software products;

• Prospects and processing problems of Big Data and intelligent data analysis (Data mining) technologies.
