Foundation course

Foundation courses, also known as preparatory courses, are educational programs designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in higher education. These courses offer individuals a background education and training, particularly in a specific language. Foundation courses are offered to the applicants who fail to meet the language proficiency requirements and provide intensive language training in Azerbaijani, Russian, or English. The courses typically last for two semesters, starting on September 15th. In the first semester, students focus on language lessons and Azerbaijan studies, while the second semester introduces additional subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, and graphics. Each semester concludes with examinations. Successful completion of these exams earns students the Certificate of Completion of the Foundation Courses (for international students), allowing them to proceed to their chosen major at the next level of education (bachelor's, master's, or PhD degrees).
