Ugurlu Mahammad Nadirov graduated with honors from the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute (currently Azerbaijan Technical University) in 1990. In the same year, he began his scientific and pedagogical career as a junior specialist at the Department of Computer-Aided Design Systems in Mechanical Engineering. Between 1995 and 1998, he pursued postgraduate studies. In 1998, he defended his PhD dissertation in the specialty 05.02.08 – Mechanical Engineering Technology and was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. In 2009, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor. In 2021, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in the specialty 3313.01 – Mechanical Engineering Technology and obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. U. M. Nadirov is the author of 112 scientific works, including 1 patent, 1 monograph, 2 textbooks, 5 teaching manuals, and 3 methodological guidelines. His scientific articles have been published in reputable journals indexed in leading international scientific abstracting and indexing databases in countries such as the United States, Russia, Türkiye, Brazil, India, Belarus, and Ukraine.
From 2021 to 2025, he served as the Director of the Institute of Industrial Design and Technology. Since September 2025, he has been appointed as the Head of the Department of Defense Systems and Technological Integration.
