The economics major prepares a wide range of professional specialists for all areas of the economy.  Students studying in this specialty need to analyze the economy regionally and sectorally, as well as the macroeconomic picture of the economy, the dynamics of socio-economic indicators; the ability to analyze the main contours of economic policy is inculcated. In the framework of specialization, knowledge is given on the role and importance of agriculture, industry and service sector in economic development.

Graduates can work in relevant departments of state structures, public institutions and companies, foreign-invested enterprises, small, medium and large economic entities, companies engaged in foreign economic activity and other business structures.
