About the Department of Humanitarian subjects
Based on the decision of the Scientific Council of Azerbaijan Technical University
(AzTU) dated February 03, 2021, the departments of the Azerbaijani language and Pedagogy and Social Sciences were merged. The Department of Humanitarian subjects was established on the basis of two departments.
The department is affiliated with ANAS Institute of Linguistics, Institute of Literature, Institute of History, Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Institute of Folklore, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Baku Slavic University, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and with the relevant departments of the Kazakh National Technical Research University named after K.I.Satpayev, it also has relations with the Baku International Multiculturalism Center.
As an all-university department, this department participates in the educational process of all faculties, and the subjects included in the department are taught in all specialties prepared at the university.
The purpose of the Department of Humanitarian Subjects
Determining the issue of citizen training as one of the priority goals of Azerbaijani education as a strategic goal towards which our education is directed, the Department of Humanitarian Subjects understands its responsibility to the people of Azerbaijan and the state, respects the national traditions and democratic principles of its people, human rights and freedom, and adheres to the ideas of patriotism and Azerbaijaniism, a course is based to form a modern-minded citizen and personality who is free, independent and creative thinker, who protects and develops national-spiritual and universal values, who has a broad outlook, who is able to appreciate initiatives and innovations, who is ready for social life and effective labor activity by acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge.
