The department closely cooperates with leading universities and research institutes of Russia, Belarus, Austria, Greece, Ukraine, England and Turkey. In addition, it has close scientific and teaching-methodical relations with the Vienna Institute of Technology, London, Oxford and Cambridge universities.

The department is also in close contact with the European Commission and NATO's cyber security institutions.

The department teaches subjects such as signals and systems, switching devices and systems, international radio communication and radio exchange, big data in telecommunications, electrodynamics and radio wave propagation, basics of television and video technology.
