Information Security (Curriculum) (Educational Program)
Information Security is an engineering field that teaches knowledge and skills related to the protection of information systems, computer networks, and digital data. The main goal of this specialty is to prepare specialists who will ensure the security of critical information infrastructure facilities. Such specialists are in great demand in the banking sector, government agencies, telecommunications, and technology companies.
Students studying in the Information Security specialty acquire knowledge and skills such as conducting information security audits, identifying and eliminating vulnerabilities, analyzing and monitoring cyber threats, responding to incidents, designing security architectures, developing information security solutions, and applying cryptographic protocols.
In accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market, in order to form relevant knowledge and skills in the areas of cyberattack (Red team) and cyber defense (Blue team), students are taught a number of subjects such as programming, network fundamentals, operating systems, network security, web security, cryptography, penetration testing and ethical hacking, cloud security, IoT (Internet of Things) security, risk management, digital forensics, legal aspects of cybersecurity, etc.
