A labour fair was held with the  joint organization of State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Yasamal District Executive Authority. Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency Mustafa Abbasbeyli, Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev and Head of Yasamal District Executive Authority Elshad Hasanov took part in the fair.

Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev spoke about the work done at the university in the direction of training staff according to the requirements of the labor market. He mentioned that such events are of great importance for graduates and students to enter the labor market and start their careers. The Rector noted AzTU always pays attention to expanding the career opportunities of its graduates and cooperates with various state and private institutions for this purpose as well.

Elshad Hasanov, the head of the Yasamal District Executive Power noted in his speech that ensuring the employment of the population is one of the priorities of the state policy and he also said that the organization of such meetings between employers and job seekers serves the development of the labour market.

Mustafa Abbasbeyli - the chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency spoke about the innovations and reforms carried out in the field of employment in our country in recent years. He mentioned that the demands relating to the labor market in the world and in our country are constantly changing and new challenges are formed. Hence this requires job seekers to work constantly on themselves  and acquire new work skills.  Speaking about  the importance of educational institutions in adapting to the requirements of the labor market, Mustafa Abbasbeyli also emphasized that AzTU is one of the educational institutions that stand out from this point of view.

It should be noted that more than 800 vacancies and internship programs were presented by 95 state and private enterprises at the fair. The participants of the exhibition were also informed about the activities of the State Employment Agency and projects aimed at young people.
